How can I resize my hard disk partition in Windows 7?

You can do this in Disk Management. 

1. Click on the Start button and select Control Panel. Select System and Maintenance, click on Administrative Tools. Double-click on Computer Management.‌

2. Look for Disk Management under Storage in the Navigation panel on the left.

3. Right-click on the partition you want to resize, select Shrink Volume and follow the instructions on your screen.

Using Disk Management, you will be able to change partition letter, format, resize and delete partition.
